Birding & Biking the Arcata Bottoms

Redwood Region Audubon Society is sponsoring a different type of field trip this Sunday between 8:30 and 11 am. Join Cal Poly Humboldt ornithology lecturer Sean Mahoney with your bike and binoculars as he navigates the flat roads in the Arcata Bottoms off Samoa Boulevard. You will stop frequently to check out the grassland species that call the Bottoms home, including blackbirds, egrets, herons, and often raptors such as kites and hawks.
